Pumpkin decorating contest!

Carve, Paint, or Decorate!
Use your imagination!
Big or small, we want to see them all!

Any Tupper Lake patrons can participate. Rather than bringing your pumpkins to the library, just email us a photo from October 1-14 to – using “PUMPKIN” in the subject line.

Don’t forget to tell us your name and your age. (If you are 21 or older – simply state over 21.) Names will not be on the photos during voting. You can also send the photo and information through Messenger via our Goff Nelson Memorial Library Facebook page.

Voting will be on Facebook and in person at the library. Voting will run October 15th through October 28th. Winner(s) will be announced October 29th!

Author talk and Q & A with Howard Kirschenbaum on Zoom.

Part autobiography and part social history, Coming of Age in the Baby Boom is the intimate story of a white, middle-class, privileged youth embodying the contradictions of growing up in post-War America.
Howard Kirschenbaum is the author of over 25 books and a leader in the fields of education, counseling, and historic preservation.
He moved to the Adirondack Mountains to live like Thoreau, and ended up owning or managing several grand, rustic estates of Alfred Vanderbilt, J. Pierpont Morgan, and other icons of the Gilded Age.
